Although there are other churches celebrating the Latin Mass in the area, North American Martyrs is Seattle's first parish to do so directly supported by Archbishop Alexander Joseph Brunett under Pope Benedict XVI's ''motu proprio'' Summorum Pontificum, in communion with Rome. About 500 parishioners frequent North American Martyrs,〔 with masses at St. Alphonsus Church in Ballard as well as Holyrood Cemetery in Shoreline, WA. The parish does not yet have a permanent home. Its current pastor is Fr. Gerard Saguto, FSSP.
